Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve always enjoyed quotes. They’ve inspired me, encouraged me and often evoked a particular emotion or feeling. I find beauty and intrigue in the simplicity of their ability to capture my attention in just a simple phrase. Quotes tell a story. They are a verbal or written snapshot of a specific moment of time that can’t be redone or duplicated and yet when quoted have the ability to bring about those same emotions as when it first took place.

Photography is a vessel that allows me the privilege of capturing the moments that tell your story, a history, a personal unique and individual time that can’t be repeated or reproduced. My hope is that the story told in your photographs will allow you in years from now to share the original feelings your special day evoked with a world that otherwise wouldn’t have been able to experience it, feelings of pure joy, excitement, anticipation, pleasure, friendship and of love.

There is a story waiting to be told between each set of quotations and since pictures speaks a thousand words... let's give the world your stories.

I hope you enjoy the blog and seeing my work in a little more detail!

It was very exciting be able to do something a little different for this photo shoot! It was for sure a little weird to not be capturing kisses and snuggles, baby rolls and bellies but I loved this! AND she has more things in the works which means I’ll be ale to do this again sometimes soon. EEK so excited.

My dear friend Christina, owner of Modern Market, has been working around the clock on some of these beautiful home decor items featured below. They are STUNNING and I really don’t feel like my photos have done her craftsmanship justice.  From shelves to frames for photos or birthdays, growth charts, blanket ladders, Christmas trees and love blocks customized for the first responders in your life … her work is beautiful.

And… not only is her work beautiful, I can’t begin to tell you how beautiful she is … on the inside and that pretty smile haha. This mamma, who around a shift working husband and two handsome little boys, manages to pour her heart and soul into each of her pieces and shes chosen to give back too. She’s donating 5% of her profits to the Alberta Children’s hospital, a place that’s been incredible to my family and so many families that we hold dear.

If you’re interested in learning more, following along as she releases new pieces or purchasing something for your home you can check here out by clicking this link: Modern Crafted  Be sure to send her a DM (Direct message) for any questions or inquiries!

One day Ember will look back and wished she dove right in and devoured the cake! Like when else are we given a giant cake all to ourselves and told to go nuts? Haha. She tasted a few bites, didn’t like it and wanted nothing to do with it. It was pretty cute and it wasn’t for lack of trying to see if she’d go for  it. She cried. You’d never know it though cause we got some pretty cute smiles. Maybe she just didn’t want to wreck the stunning cake? I know I’d of had a hard time.

Hope you had a super sweet first birthday Ember!

I was loving the black and whites from this session, I don’t think I’ve ever done and all B&W post before! Love this family! Gav man was just learning to walk and wanted to be on the go, such a wonderful stage when you’re bent at 90 degrees walking them around on their adventures!

Our first attempt at maternity photos was cut short with a freezing cold down pour… we got a couple cute shots and then postponed when everyone wouldn’t look like they just got out of the shower haha. Since then they welcomed a beautiful baby girl and it was an absolute honor to be invited into their home to capture some precious first moments.

Greyson. Too perfect for words. This handsome little man was born in MAY – that’s how late I am at blogging my sessions.

Hope he brings some sunshine to this rainy day!

These two little guys had SO much spunk and personality. I loved hanging out with them and watching boys be boys as they took me on an adventure through their stompin ground.

It feels like it was just yesterday this little man was in the most adorable puppy newborn outfit and we were celebrating his arrival. Hard to believe we are now celebrating his first birthday!!! Time goes by WAY TOO FAST!

This little man has turned TWO! It was great once again hanging out with this beautiful family as they celebrated his birthday. Ethan was fast and on the move! Mom is expecting baby number two so we trailed behind as the boys ran ahead.

It feels like just yesterday I’d purchased my new big girl camera and was squealing with delight at my upcoming wedding… their wedding. And now look, two kids later and i got to spend some time with them again 🙂

I get to meet their newest baby girl on Friday!!! Yes, that is how behind I am at sharing sessions :S I had a wonderful morning with Kara and her family capturing her adorable bump. I’m selfishly so excited we both have two girls both within months of each other, I foresee LOTS of sleepovers in their futures 🙂
