Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve always enjoyed quotes. They’ve inspired me, encouraged me and often evoked a particular emotion or feeling. I find beauty and intrigue in the simplicity of their ability to capture my attention in just a simple phrase. Quotes tell a story. They are a verbal or written snapshot of a specific moment of time that can’t be redone or duplicated and yet when quoted have the ability to bring about those same emotions as when it first took place.

Photography is a vessel that allows me the privilege of capturing the moments that tell your story, a history, a personal unique and individual time that can’t be repeated or reproduced. My hope is that the story told in your photographs will allow you in years from now to share the original feelings your special day evoked with a world that otherwise wouldn’t have been able to experience it, feelings of pure joy, excitement, anticipation, pleasure, friendship and of love.

There is a story waiting to be told between each set of quotations and since pictures speaks a thousand words... let's give the world your stories.

I hope you enjoy the blog and seeing my work in a little more detail!

5 squishy adorable pounds of love. It felt like forever for this little man to arrive, and I couldn’t have been more excited when he did. His folks are two very special people in our lives and I can’t wait for all the adventures our kids are going to go on. My husband grew up with his mamma Kathryn so I think it’s really neat we had the girl and they had a little boy – I can’t wait for all the crazy adventures they are going to have!

This lady here is near and dear to my heart. In a very short time she has become one of my best friends and I couldn’t imagine going through this crazy journey called life without her. I feel like we’ve been through so much together already I can’t wait to grow and learn as mothers together too.

Not too long ago we (myself and another bridesmaid at her wedding) gave her a hard time that she should have a baby asap so our kids could grow up together like they did with my husband – turns out that was about to come true! I was beyond excited to find out they were expecting and that our babies would be born within a couple months.

Kathryn (and Lance) really had no option when it came to if they would have maternity photos or not and I’m so glad they let me take them out one night.

Adalyn was so precious, I don’t think I’d ever seen someone enjoy their cake as lady like as she did, she literally ate it one finger at a time! It was so sweet!

Milo… no words. This little man was just the sweetest, I seriously wanted to squeeze him! His smile lit up the room and I couldn’t get over the poppin shirt buttons haha. I was absolutely honored that Mom and Dad asked me to take some photos in celebration of his adoption.

I was super excited to spend some more time with Adalyn and her family. She rocked her cake smash and I couldn’t wait to get out again with her mom and dad. It was a beautiful day and we couldn’t have asked for better weather!

You know when you meet someone and you feel like you’ve know them forever and could be instant friends? That’s how I felt about these two – not only could I have photographed Lennon for HOURS I could have also chatted with these two equally as long.

I’d met Devon years ago and then would see him and Erin through some mutual friends every so often, I was beyond excited to hear they were expecting and equally (maybe a little more) excited when they asked if I could capture Lennons first moments.

I’ve loved being a part of Britney and Brians journey, from the baseball gender reveal to the maternity session and now getting to meet little Kaimbri. I couldn’t get over how much hair she had!! We also, of course, had to incorporate something baseball!

Here are a few of my favorite shots of Aiden’s cake smash. His cake was on point! He had a few tears at the begging but it sure didn’t take him long to warm up before he devoured that cake!

On January 16th, a week early, Josh and I welcomed our second baby girl into the world. She’s absolutely perfect and we couldn’t be more excited about our growing family. Breslyn adores her and has so far been a great big sister.

I was totally planning on taking photos as early as a could, but just before I was going to do them I over did it and ended up getting hurt. Instead of getting the session done in one sitting I had to break it over 3 so the photos all look a little different. I had a lot of fun with this session, and no, photographing your own kid is not easier that someone elses. It was tough!

Well… here she is! Meet our beautiful baby girl 🙂

Pregnancy is quite the journey, and like any journey it’s one best shared. Sarah and I have been friends for years and when I got pregnant with my first I’d asked her when they were going to have kids.  I remember her telling me before they started a family she wanted to want kids for three months before they started trying. I can totally appreciate that, I’d told Josh when he was ready for kids… I’d need 6 months to let it sink in before we started trying haha. Anyway, after that whenever we got together I’d give her a hard time always asking “has it been three months yet??” I’m sure that got annoying after a while, but there are some friends you’d love to have kids around the same age…. and Sarah is one of them.  So, I bet you can imagine my delight when she told me they were expecting, and it just happened to be that we were expecting our second as well.

Our babies were born two weeks apart, and I had the absolute pleasure of photographing sweet baby Jade.

Congrats you two… she is beautiful!
